I ordered my koyo radiator for the eg and a jimfab xmember back in november...but after working on my car everyday for like 6 straight months i decided i wasnt going to touch my car again until after the new year. So here it is...the 2nd day of 04 and ive already got the itch to work on it. Anyway, my real question is what should i use for lower mounts for my eg radiator? I was thinking that i might make some and mount it to the xmember...but im scared i mihgt hit something and break the mount off. What did you ef pimps do? Pics would be nice too.

PS-its a 90 crx with a b18a, hasport mounts, t3/t04e...blah blah blah you get the point

you shouldn't have any problem with putting the mounts on the x member at all thats exactly how place racing does theirs....however you might run into a probably with your original radiator mount tabs getting in the way.

 

So if i cut off my stock rad mounts and make new ones for the xmember than i should be fine? How should i make the mounts for the xmember? Thanks

hmmm thats a good questions...basically on my place racing x member its just 2 holes which the radiator pegs drop into.

after cutting you stock rad mounts you cold also easily bolt/weld some bent metals strips to hand further down and serve as your new mounts.

sort of like that, attached to the undersid of your frams and hanging down with holes drilled for the radiator to drop in.

 

Yea thats exactly how i was thinking about doing it...thanks man. Anybody know what hoses im gonna need right off the top of their head? Prolly teg ones but im not sure.

you mean for the radiator hoses??? my stock hoses fit just fine...you may have to trim the upper hose cause it seems a little too long but i didn't and i don't seem to have any problems.
