Actually closer to Toda A's

But, I'll leave this post to other more knowledgeable ones cause they know alot more than me and this is still a raging Hot topic.

BTW did you do a search? I know that the info is out there cause I've been investigating this far awhile too.

Good luck, here come the sharks!

A.

They are a mild cam (like Spec A) that can operate with stock valvetrain. They are meant to run with the Spoon ECU ideally - but try getting one of those suckers.

yeah right getting a spoon ecu!! might as well go to japan...its kinda nice knowing its made by honda and all(reliability) but for $1,045 why not just get the specb's..that's like buying a usdm mugen header instead of jdm mugen....ashamed to say ive done that.....hey big phat-r when you said you like the spoon header over the mugen 4-1, was that the jdm mugen or usdm?
just curious.. some spoons would be nice though(kinda rare here).......mugen

The Spoon cams are built to optimize the max potential of the stock B18C engine can perform. Spoon cams are close to Toda spec A's but quite a bit far to Spec Bs.
The Spoon cams are emission legal and it offers good mid-range power and ON/OFF throttle response.

I have install a lot of them like to B16A B18C1 and B18C5 . Spoon doesn't have a aggressive gains compare to Toda Bs but you will probably see a 8-10 hp gains with proper tune camgears depend on your setup.

Spoon cams are made by Honda and there will be no questions about it's quality.

Default AJ...

..someone I konw recently recieved a set of new Spoon cams, and they were lacking the groove on the distributor side like the CTR billets that the Spoon cams are allegedly made from.
But, he is certain that they are genuine Spoon cams.
Do you know if Spoon is now providing Honda w/ their own billets or have there been physical changes made to the Honda billets themselves?
Let me know, thanks...
