Out of curiosity, is the 13.81@103 in your sig with the Evo... Was that a time you ran with yours or what they are supposed to run? Not being an ***, I'm really curious.

Evo VII tailights are coming, soon as someone buys my ITR Recaros (you know who you are!!!!)....but i dont see why everyone hates on the stockies so much, "they'RE mAD JdM"...since theyre the same overseas

yes the 13.81 is with my evo , ive seen as low as 13.4@103 stock, the track i go to is in the mountains and over the 1/4 climbs 6 ft

Nice, I know they are capable of mid 13's but I have only seen 1 ever break into the 13's with my own eyes and it was some girl who just got the car. She claimed it to be one of the first 5 in Oregon which may have been true since it was the first one I ever saw but how can you really prove such a thing.

All I have to say is damn that AWD. Just kills us b16 guys from the light. I've ran 3 of them on the freeway from 50+ and pulled from 2 of them and had one hang with me untill we came up on other cars and slowed down. I don't care for most of the evo's looks but from the front they are just mean looking.

Here is one I cruised to a car show with. Nice lookin car. He wanted to run on the freeway but there were other people on the road so I wasn't game. Plus I was throwing a code at the time, #2 cylinder misfire, from washing the engine the night before for the show.

FUNNY, there is a video that is floating around somewhere on Kazaa of a lightly modified EVO VIII running a 12.00 . He had intake, downpipe, catback, boost controller, and A/F control i believe. Pretty good.

I drove the EVO 8s and was very impressed. But, I hate almost EVERYTHING about the looks of the EVO. This is JUST my Opinion, though. I almost bought the EVO VIII, but now i'm just looking into converting a regular Lancer to an EVO VII (JDM race style ) Much less weight, less looks from cops, same damn car.

How hard are those things to launch? Seems like your 60 ft. could be better, but you are in the mountains, and that is still a good time! Nice car! I'd take one anyday

That is a HOT looking picture. I kinda like the fact that it isnt a digital camera. Brings more character to the photo

thanks for the nice comments guys....as for launching I sort of just put the clutch in reved up to about 4-5k rpm then on green let it go...on the good runs it shot out of the hole like a rocket, others it just sorta sputtered until the turbo got spinning.

also egtodc2 supposedly the evolutions have tons more weld points for chassis stability over the normal lancer..it may go quick in a straight line but I dont think it will handle as well in the corners.

actually, it's only possible by doing an EVO VII (JDM) swap and getting a small racing gas tank. But, THe EVO VIII also has over 100 spot welds that make the vehicle very rigid. So, along with Brembo brakes, Enkei wheels, Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, there are many things you don't get by just trying an EVO VII engine/6spd/AWD...

you could prolly strip the entire chassis and welt the entire thing, like the n1 cars
