does anyone know how to fix my hood latch, "not the latch on the hood" the one on the body, i've tried to greass it up and even put a new hood latch cable in but it still doesn't latch, everytime i close it i have to mess with the cable so the tab comes out then it locks.

 

i had the same problem w/ my rex, i even greased it up too and it still didnt work. i just went to the junk yard and got a whole new latch and cable, it was like $5. now it works great

 

Take a flathead and loosen the spring on the hood, that is usually to loose/tight and wont alow the hood to properly latch.
