Default when buying a body kit!

i have seen that many of the body kits are made of fiberglass a few of them are urethane, which is the material that I would like to get for my car, but in case that i decide for the fiberglass, how many layers makes the bodykit strong. and not to break so easy?

no matter what fiberglass is pretty weak. but the more layers you have the stronger.

i wouldnt waste my money on any kit.. only attract the wrong crowd to your car and it only ends up cracking and costing double of what you paid when your all done

put the money into the car .. not the appearance.. better the car's performance and how it handles..

go suspension, motor and dont attract every tom, dick and harry who wants to ripped off your stuff, cause they see some 'cool' car

Very true a lot of the "scene" is rice now I am not here to pass judgment on rice or not but if you add a crazy body kit before you do anything but intake that is really dumb just because your car looks cool it probably doesn't go for **** (I have no clue what you have under the hood) I am just saying in a general statement. Alot of people focus on looks versus performance and handling (which to me is the most important) I would say invest in some good suspension parts (forget about i/h/e for now) and save up for either turbo or engine swap and trust me street racing is dumb so this would be purely to make the car more pleasurable around town

its good to hear people that are into the performance and handling as opposed to the exterior stuff(some minor things are nice), but I am biased towards autox and track time. just remember body kits only add like 5hp! kidding

it all depends on what you want for your car... if you want a fast car put the money into the engine... if you want a nice looking car go for the body kit... dont hate on people who want a nice looking car and dont care about how fast they can go... for my car now i dont care how fast it is, its not like im going to take my stock accord to the track so i can run 17's... i want the car to get me from a to b and look nice

why is there this big line of hate between people who like to go fast and like to look good? This post is pretty good nobody is getting pissed of well yet . but it seems as soon as somone wants somthing to do with looks he is flamed told not to do it just because your car looks nice does it mean its not fast? i am in to both things and believe me it was 10 times harder to put my body kit on than it was to swap my gsr motor in. but both can get verry dificult and expensive to do so why the split. we are all car guys here.

to each is his own, but you are right there will always be arguing about show vs go. its really about what each individual likes not the other person's opinion. probably a waste of time discussing it, so F@*! IT keep it real

What if someone only cares about the looks and not the performance ? Not everyone thinks like you dude. If they like it.. that's all that matters, and your opinion to them is nothing but disrespect.

Everyone wants a hot looking ride to assist in getting mad ***, but put more money into a ride that drenches her panties when you downshift.

The best way to make your car look hot is to lower the profile a bit. New shoes with low profile tires work pretty good. Then worry about how **** works getting you from a to b.

Body kits are ugly heat scores.

I'm not too familiar with body kits so I couldn't tell you. It's gotten to the point where everything is rice now a days anyway, just look at the new trend in japan (yes JDM land) they're starting to have body kits and stickers just like the fast n curious cars I guess we're rubbing off on them and vise versa.

I would guess the more layers you have on them the stronger they are, but then again it might not make a difference after all. I've never dealt with body kits before.
