Default can't remove stock e-brake handle

I feel retarded, but I can't find whatever pin/clip/screw is holding it in. I got an aftermarket one, and I want to get it off. If u know how, I just need the basics. Thanks

I thought this part was held on by friction.

Just pull it out, I had trouble the first time too, ended up removing the console due to my extreme stupidity, found out that the stock ebrake handle is just something that can be pulled out....

Try some type of penetrating oil or silicone lubricant.

Geez, I tried to do it this morning, but my car was at a normal temperature. No luck. I pulled with all my might. Then I went to classes, and came back, and teh car sat in the sun all day. It came right off. Thanks again guys. Later

Just out of curiousity, what does the replacement look like and where did you get it? I think it might be kind of cool if there was an ebrake that matched the aluminum on the shift ****

If it is anything like the EGs It is harder to get off than a rigid lesbian on perkaset. And usually totally destroyed by the time you finish. Get a set of BIG pliers and pull, twist, pull, twist. It will come off.

The replacement is a gunmetal handle with about a 3" carbon fiber ring near the top. It looks kinda like one of these, but gunmetal. http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jht...equestid=88755
I have a different shifter cause I got my car used, and the punk *** before me put a DC sport one on (which isn't bad, but i wanted the original). I think I'm gunna get a momo one, the one that kinda dips forward, and I want some leather in it. If my hands are any bit sweaty it slips of the shifter.

First off, the stock one is held on by friction but I've never seen an aftermarket one that is only held on by friction. I have an aluminum e-brake handle that matches my shift **** and it is held on by set screws on the bottom (2 of them). The set screws have an ALLAN head...go to that JC Whitney link that somebody posted, you can see where the set screws go (the two little holes on the base of the E-Brake handle).

I was the one who posted the link, I was showing someone who asked which one I had gotten. I saw that someone (3 people actually) had said it's just friction, so I pulled the damn thing off. It was just kinda hard to figure that out cause it was on there so tight, I figured there were some sort of screws.

As far as the dyno goes, I'm look at good gains, somewhere in the 15-20 whp area. That is with some extensive tuning of the position of the hand brake lever.
