So on the night of December 30th my car was broken in to. Thieves took my Deck but not my amp or speakers. I have my amp under my seat and it is screwed down so they probably didn't find it or want to waste the time getting the seats out to get it out. My components in the front are still there along with my rear speakers. My hatch was open so I assumed they were looking for subs. But I am still shopping for subs so I didn't have any yet. Unless they have an amp for the speakers I hope they have fun trying to wire the deck up because I cut all the wires that run from the deck to the speakers off, so it is next to impossible for them to wire it directly to speakers. I cut those wires to save space behind the deck. So all in all they got away with a remanufactured premier 550 deck and fucked up my the little panel that holds the deck in.

Anyways just looking for a new deck cause I was not to fond of the pioneer. It seemed like it took forever to load things. Not a bad deck other than that.

How are the Clarion decks specifically the DXZ735MP. It has a pretty good price on Crutchfield.com right now for 200.

Also I'm pretty new to alarms and would like some suggestions. The main feature I really want is it to have a pager. I saw an audiovox alarm on Sound Domain that looked pretty cool how are those alarms?

Ya Im planning on getting one before the new deck get installed. Ive heard to many stories about repeated car stereo theft acts. That is also why I need suggestions for an alarm. Do you know of any good pager alarm? Another feature I would like is to have the alarm pop my hatch if that is possible.

 

get the viper pager alarm system, its sick. i have the viper esp600 and it works very good, its expandable to do all that pager alarm system does for 500 bucks cheaper. i got mine for 300 and i can hook up senser's, pager unit, motion sensers, impact sensers, sound sensers, and a talking unit that says protected by viper, stand back.. its cool and work the money. and how much do u wanna spend on a deck and what are u lookin to do with ur stereo system in ur car, u lookin for strictly audio, or audio and video.. ?

 

lol i love playin with the viper pager alarm..cost me around 300 at a local audio shop, good friend of mine so got a pretty sweet deal on the installation. as for a deck, i think alpine is a pretty good all around deck, of course i love the bling of eclipse

 

I went and looked at the clifford alarms the other day. I saw the pager one, I believe model number 3.5 something, and I really like it except it seemed like alot of the features it had on it were useless, becuase I don't have power door locks and stuff.

As far as the alarm goes I want something that has a pager, sensors to trigger the alarm if a window breaks, doors or hatch open, and if it is struck violently with an object, or if it is shook.

As for the deck I want to spend below 200. How are the Clarion decks?

 

clarion decks are very good, ive only known there flip out in dash screens.. and that one 2 peice deck... but go here and check them out.. just so u can get an idea.. and read up on them.. good luck...
