better braking power 95 accord ex v6
hey people, what can i do to get better braking power in my 95 accord ex v6, it's an automatic and has 103,000 miles ...want that extra braking power in case i get into tight traffic ...compared this car to my 96 integra gsr, the gsr definitely has better braking power....thanx
I would say you have 4dr disc brakes, you could go for bigger rotors (brembo blanks) upgrade your brake lines with steel lines (biggest difference) just because the heat and last and certainly not least new pads. Hope this helps
You could also go an easier route and just upgrade the brake pads. Not as effecitve as a total rotor upgrade, but you'll have better initial bite, and if you are not racing or doing anything to stressful, you won't have to worry about brake fade due to excess heat build-up.

Your Accord V6 slushbox is alot heaver than your GSR. Thus the reduced braking performance.
Pads are your cheapest and easiest fix.
I personally use stock honda pads and my brakes are absolutely perfect.

the v6 is equipped with abs pump If I am not mistaken, go find a shop that know how to flush the brake system properly and then fill it with dot4 brake fluid.
do a brake booster check, check master cylinder and wheel cylinder along with the flex rubber brake lines.
becareful when picking "performance" pads, they often make those annoying metallic scratching sounds...
