I just was wondering how much do you need to weigh to keep control of a gsx-r 600? I work with a kid who bought one and he weights around 140 pounds.

 

i weigh 140 too and im doing fine with yzf 600R.. almost the same as a gsr-600

 

You need to weigh at least 180 pounds for a 600 man.

You'll be fine as long as you respect your machine. Know its capabilities and limitations.

 

You dont need very much weight at all. Just a lil strength to counter-steer.

I was just messing around but seriously if you have to ask "how much do you need to weigh" then you shouldn't be getting a bike yet. I weigh ~110 lbs and I used to ride my buddy's GSXR1000.

I weigh 140, I ride a 650 Vtwin.

Yeah I was just being sarcastic, there's no designated weight for any bike. You just have to be responsible and know that when you lose respect for your machine it will put you in your place.

 

240lbs on a 600 cbr, ninja zx-6 and Honda RC51

 

260 on my '01 F4i . . . rides awesome! no passengers though lol

 

160LBS on my 03' ZX6R 636.......My roomie was 135LBS on a 2002 GSXR750 and he did just fine!

thanks I was just curious what you guys weigh I wasn't going to buy a bike I just thought you need to weigh more to keep the bike under control.

Wow I weigh 120lbs with camera equipment and I can handle a 600 RR fine. Well maybe not the height part. LoL That thing is way to damn tall.
