What could I probably get for my R?
I've been really considering selling and buying an EVO VIII.
It's not for sure, and I would hate to give up the R. Just wondering what would I most likely get for my Black 2000 Type R if sold on the private market.
*MODS:New ACT clutch/ACT Flywheel, Cobalt GT brake pads, Comptech Icebox
NO accidents.
Perfect paint/no dings/perfect interior.
Well-maintained.
50,000 miles.
Thanks!

Ask for about $18K, take no less than $17K, that is if it's in the shape you say. The Evo is probably the only other car I'd get to replace the R for around $30k. Personally, it's alot more money and not that much more bang.

as much as i love r's i seriously have to disagree with you about not gettin much more bang from an evo, in stock form its already much more bang and the potential is absoluty crazy!!!!!!!!! and will never be touched by an R. jus me two cents.

I agree w/what you are saying, but I do not think the EVO is 2x the car.
Although, as far as cars are concerned for performance/dollar it's usually and exponential thing, not a linear thing.
The R is one of the best bargains none the less.
I don't think the Evo would ever be as reliable, or hold it's value like the R.

the evo is a better performance car in every aspect. notice i said... performance. the itr gets the nod for quality, reliability (undetermined at this point),and resale.
