Default Aftermath of my RSX type s hitting a tree!!!!

Well it was 11 at night on new years eve when I was traveling back to a friends house after I dropped some 1 off at there house. I was coming out of an S turn and lost control of my car. I slide for a while up over a curb and hit a tree completly sideways. When I hit the tree I was a good two feet side ways in the air. If the tree wasn't there to stop my motion my car would of rolled then hit a metal gate. I owe my life to a tree.

The speed limit was 30mph and I was going approx 40mph. I looked down at my phone and when i looked up, the turn approcahed a lot faster then I thought and I didn't have time to correct myself.

The car was towed this morning to get evaluated and the insurance company is gonna notify me on friday on what action there going to take. I hope to god they total it b/c I have an 11K loan on the car and insurance would be way to high to pay if they fixed it. Do you guy's think it will be totaled. I'm pretty sure the frame isbent b/c the trunk doesn't shut and the roof crumbled a bit. Also the side airbag went off. What need to be replaced from what I can see is the door, door panel, glass, passenger seat/airbag, center consol, quater panel, 2 wheels, suspension, fender, roof, wind sheild, trunk. Also the something has to be done with the frame.

I drove the car 1/4 of a mile to an empty parking lot and I was holding the steering wheel pretty much sideways just for the car to go strait. What a great way to start the New Year.

If they don't total it, you better fight like hell to get it totaled, cause that thing will NEVER be right if they "fix" it

but i'm guessing they will total it

glad nobody was hurt, thats whats important

Ow. So glad that you walked away from that.
