I wonder why they exited the exhaust through the left (driver side)? It looks like the resonator is at the same location as stock, but then they placed a 90* bend on the end of it, ran it parallel to the subframe, then another 90* bend, and finally exited it through the left rear. Looks to be a lot more pipping then stock.

I dont know why they did it like this.
Last year the exhaust ended in the correct place.

That k20a doesn't have vtec, its not allowed in the race class.

Correct, no Vtec!
The engine doesen't use a vtec killer.
They use a camshaft that makes it like a normal non vtec engine.
