Default RIP My 3 week old RSX TYPE S!!!

It has been a little less than a month of owning my 02 type s. I have already put exhaust on it and the springs and intake where on the way. Well it was about 11 at night and i was comign around a turn maybe only 8-10 mph over the posted speed limit.

i looked down to change a cd/looking at my phone and when my car lost control and i started to swerve, i corrected myself and continued slidding completly side ways. the front of car then hit a curb and my entire car lifted on to two wheels when i smacked the tree which stopped my motion. It hit directly on the passenger side. If I wouldn't of hit the tree my car would of rolled and I probally wouldn't be here to write about it. I was suprised how well the rsx took the impact. the passenger side airbag went off and the entire side just crumbled.

The car is a total loss however. The entire door is gone, fender, rear quarter panel, trunk, windsehild, passenger seat, center consol, and ya pretty much the entire passenger side of the car. I was able to get the car back on the raod and drive it to a parking lot and left it there. Wonder how my insurance is gonna take this. I will post some pictures up as soon as i get thew chance.

EDIT:.. moore pictures http://speedtuning.com/pd_rsx.cfm

Damn!!! That sucks. I feel for you man.

I assume you were sober........
Is sounds cheesy and cliche', but you can always replace the car, you can't replace your life or health.

Where abouts did you wreck/

I think they have to be hosted somewhere first, maybe someone on here will do that for you?

I am very sorry to hear about your car, but what's important is that you are ok!
Glad to hear you weren't hurt, and best of luck!

Lucky you're ok. I've been in a pretty bad accident in my car also, and the car held up real well. That's a testament to how well honda designed this car.

Glad you walked away integraautox, damn that was some scarry ****. I've noticed the RSX demands a lot of attention when driving, prolly the quick steering, nimble response etc. Fortunately it also can get out of trouble quick too or if it can't, seems to be safer than most small cars.
