OT: What other imports or cars for that matter are as thieve-worthy? What else gets stolen as much a
And our beloved R's I might add.
I remember it being a Toyota 4 DR model and or the Chevy Camaro. I know our numbers are limited but, by our standards "being limited car production and availibility." What else is stolen as much percentage wise?
Just curious and happened to save up a bunch of questions for one day, and a rainy day at that.
Good luck all,
A.

I don't think any car has such a high percentage of them stolen as the ITR. But it would be hard to find or generate numbers to prove that.
Percentage wise, I don't think theres another car that gets stolen even 1/2 as much. Nothing even close.
I remember reading that the integra percentage wise was the #1 stolen car. The R model seems to be at least 10 times, if not 100 times more likely to be stolen than just a regular integra. And that integra being stolen most stastic, the number 2 car had 1/2 as many car stolen if I remember right.
We're f*cked.

The toyota model was a cressida. That car was very popular. Type r has to be number one. Just cant leave it in public.
I know the M3 was very popular for a while b/c of all the cosmetics. especially the mirrors. I think a lot of cars get broken into and found but the type r is rarely found after a theft.
The new thing is full spares getting stolen. Mine out of my IS300 and my friends out of his 330CI.

Mundane passenger cars do get stolen, and so do mullet Camaro's. But rarely compared to the amount of Honda/Acura theft. ITR/GSR/SI cars left on the street in the NY/NJ area are as GOOD AS GONE! And that is very unfortunate, but true!
I'm in the process of getting rid of one import, to get a domestic muscle car which is far less prone to theft.

yeah, the integra has fallen into the #1 spot for most reported stolen car, at least last time I saw.
and it wouldn't suprise me at all if the R is the highest on the percentage scale.

The Accord and camary have switched places for #1 a couple times in the past 5 years or so. why? when you make 10 trillion of them, there is a market for used parts for them, thus them being the ones to get scrapped the most.
The Accod is the number 1 car stolen, period.
The Integra (no models specific) is number 1 among teenage to twenty-five year old thieves.
These were according to Autoweek a few months ago.

The Integra was the number one model year '99 or '00 car stolen. Overall for last year, it was either the Accord or Camry (all years), depending on whose report you read.
It's funny reading stats on stolen cars.
They'll say that the Camry is the most stolen car.
Let me break it down. You know how many camry is produced each day? month? year?
Well let's just say it's 50,000 a year.
Now let's see how many ferrari 360 modena's are produced each year.
Let's say only about 600 or so.
So the steal about 25,000 camry's each year. Then they steal 600 Modenas.
According to the stat the Camry is the most stolen vehicle. See how that is inaccurate or not what we're looking for. We want info on what the theives are more likely to steal.

As far as the accords being stolen more, they're talking the number stolen, not the percentage. There are millions of accords on the road.
If only 1% are stolen a year thats 10,000! There weren't even that many ITRs made in the past 5 years!
Percentage wise, accords are safe as hell, even though there "the most stolen"
