This is for an 89 HB, which should be the same for a rex.

Summary:

- Distributor wire goes to negative side of coil or blue wire behind dash
- Ground wire goes to any bolt that touches the frame or look for a bolt behind dash

Good to use lead tester from this point on.

- Lighting wire connects to a red with black strip wire or any wire that becomes "active" when headlights are on.
- Power wire connects to any wire that becomes "active" when key is turned to start position in the ignition.
