Default Grillcraft grill

Is the grill the same for all 98 and up tegs or does the R need a different grill cause of the lip? Anybody got some pics of their R with a grill?

I figured that was coming sooner or later...

How about calling grillcraft themselves if you are really interested in that thing?

I've heard the guys on clubsi.com and siatlanta.com use some cheap stuff at home depot and save the $100+ that grillcraft charges...

Also, the cosmetic/ appearance forum might be better help to you...

Is it the same for the '98-01 models? I thought that it would not fit the Type R!?...

The grill craft does not fit they Type R with out modification to the car or the grill. Trust me I tried! But I did find an awesome body man in my area that car make it fit and not look like crap.

I had the grillcraft on my car. Had to take the bumper off for install. It also was good b/c kept the fogs from getting stolen.

Thanks. I found one used for a month for $60 shipped, but not for the R then.

NewYorkTypeR, the post before yours said it doesn't fit the newer R's without modification; did you have to do this to yours at all? I'd like to do the same for similar reasons; looks and protecting my fog lights...

It doesn't fit like the grillcraft grilles normally do on a type r. The grillecraft grille usually makes the bumber and lip one flat surface. On the type r it goes into where the other grille is. Basically its right in front of the fog lights. Has to put on a little angle to fit and you have to drill holes in the bumper and lip to keep it from moving. I personally liked the look.
