Default Will lowering my fuel pressure make my POS start better?

In a nutshell my car starts like S#*T. I have safc, 450ccdsm, and 255 intank pump. Will lowering the pressure affect the fuel delivery when cranking? Or only when running?

example...Im running 52psi at idle. Stock is like 38psi. If i lowered the pressure back to stock that would be roughly 20% less pressure. which in turn 20% less fuel per inj pulse because of lower pressure. This sound correct?

I think its squirting way too much fuel into the cylinders and causing difficulty starting. I even turn the fuel to -50 at idle, but still does it. Lower pressure means less fuel per pulse correct? I need help. I dont want to ditch like 100-200 bucks on a regulator unless this is gonna fix my problem.

cant say for certain, but your hypothesis seems about rite.
Less fuel is injected per pulse with a lower fuel pressure....
Have you checked your plugs? whats your set-up?

Yup i put some new NGK BRK7E or whatever they are called in. Didnt help.

Its a D15B7 with T3(.42.48)450cc dsm, walbro255 intank pump, safc2, stock FPR.

The car turns over about 15 to 20 times before starting. When i fires up it puffs smokes and smells rich. When it first cranks the idle is real low and stumbly for about 3 seconds then is goes up and runs normal when i press the gas.

hard start is common with your choice of engine management. I dont think that turning down the fuel pressure will fix it. Wht is our STATIC fuel pressure?

You have to lean the VAFC out a ton. Do a search for the VAFC Hack, im sure you can find the recommended AFC fuel settings to properly run 450cc injectors. But right now it sounds like your deff super rich.

static fuel pressure is your base (idle) fuel pressure.
Your fpr is stock not modified in any way? (i.e hole drilled)..

i know with my set up on my accord with the 255, 440cc injectors, VAFC, and B&M FPR it bounces at 45psi not matter if its static or not. My start up is ok at like -40%, takes a few turns though.

Just dont get the B&M FPR
