Bring TMR magazine back to life.
We need to bring TMR magazine back. What do you guys think? If we can get some good feedback WE might be able to get Rodney to do it.
It can be done, I used to like that mag. It was soooo much better that the crap out today (except Dragsport and Modified). Start a petition and make a proposal to Rodney. Maybe if we could get 2,500+ people to subscribe, he would go for it? Or something along those lines.

TMR was as real as it got. No BS - no bought editorials. Just the real skinny from Rodney and the crew. *sigh* Our industry has change so much. Don't know if it's better or worse. There is much more at stake these days and people can actually make a living doing what they love (though it does become work once in a while) but it would be cool to have the pure feeling of being an underground scene once again and TMR would be the completion to once again have those memories.
I'd buy them or at least would look forward to seeing them. I still have the old mags hidden away. I check em out once in a while. My favorite was the All Motor issue with Shawn, Jeremy, Roger, Jay, and I forget who else.

I know Steve Munson has talked to Rodney a while back when I had first post the pic of the TMR sticker that is under my hood. But from what steve told me Rodney was really burned out on the whole scence and the direction it had taken with all the politics. I would love to see it back tho..

I would be down for a subscription FO SHO. I loved that magazine. I liked the issue with the TopFuel GSR. That car was very inspiring to me. Another great issue was the one with Bergenholtz in it. And who can forget the issue with Erik from FF Squad. Story of that CRX STILL sticks in my head.
I would seriously do anything i could to see that mag or a mag like that come back into play. A mag with people on the scene who actually ARE there giving the info and articles. Been a fan since the 1st time i picked up a TMR mag in EARLY 99 and never have stopped.

I really don't think giving them money will bring it back. They had problems managing the money they had in the first place which is one reason why they went under. I found it funny I bought a subscription and never got a issue. When I asked them at NOPI (at their huge trailer where they were selling more subscriptions) when the issues would come out they said they were behind. They never made another issue since but I wonder were all the money for the subscriptions went.

This is very true.
This is very true.
i paid for a subscription too and never got an issue, but i didtn care, it was and still is the best mag around.. if they came back i hope they wouldnt get lost in the mix of the 10000 other import rags, but im sure the harcore ppl and the OGers would still represent in there unlike any of the other mags. it definately is one of a kind
