This will be a good project to keep up with. GSR mani ported will be a good solution for those who dont have the money for Skunk2 or dont want it.

actually i think getting your gsr IM ported might cost more than just buying a skunk2 IM, wouldn't it?

i think overall it would be better to keep your gsr IM and port it because you can retain your butterflies (keep obd1 gsr p72 ecu so u can use em) which would promote better midrange. also isn't the gsr IM easy to port? because you can take it apart?

erick aguilar uses a gsr IM...even tho he does some pretty crazy stuff to it...or so i hear

some GSR manifolds ported are just as good or better than the skunk2 manifolds, but it depends on how the port work is done to the manifold, PORTFLOW, JG, ALANIZ, etc.

Those manifolds rule!!!! They give you all that mid range power which is so usful in drag racing. I dont know what honda was thinking when they made that ITR manifold. Need anymore proof 2 words for ya Ericks Racing. Hes one of the best tuner, driver, and engine builders in the sport but that manifold is whats puttin him in the 9s, Good luck with the port work.

Next port project 2 Injector DX int man

Ericks manifold is one reason i wanted to see it. 2nd is b4 the SKunk2 ever came out people were running with the GSR. I know theres power there.

Cant wait to see some Flow charts of a ported Mani vs stock and vs Skunk2 and ITR

Erick said he used the stock GSR manifold because he wanted to prove that with less money you could kick some *** any ways at the track.. he never said that the gsr mani was better than the ITR.

who is going to fabricate your custom butterflies? If you do it, I'd like to know how. I'm going this route too.

I spoke woth dan over at DPR and he says they have been doing this for quite some time now. He says custom butterflies are not a problem at all.
