I have a 95 Integra LS. Ive decided to do lsvtec, and i already have a GSR head, and a GSR tranny. What i wanna do is build the lsvtec longblock in my garage. So ill have to find an extra LS bottom end somewhere. Ill sell my LS setup when im done. But my question is, what would i need to rebuild on the block? Bearings? Headbolts? i know that i am getting some OEM pistons like b16, or ITR. i also know i would need Head gasket, timing belt, and gsr throttle cable. anything else? what would be wise to replace?
any input would be greatly appreciated.

i too am in the process of building my ls vtec and if you want it to be strong and last u need to do it right u need to get
arp rod bolt, arp head bolts, all new main bearings, renotch rods to fit gsr rod bearings, balance whole rotating assembly, some b16 bistons and pistin rings over sized, vtec oil pump, and a few thousand dollarson all new parts from honda ( timing belt, water pump, knock sensor and all new sensors, all new gaskets, .......)
and what u want to do to the head is up to you

you might as well rebuild the block right now since its just sitting there rather than later on. And you dont want to start burning oil or anything. You always need a new head gasket when taking off a head.
water pump and at least a GSR oil pump and you need bearings gaskets seals, get some head studs for extra insurance and you need the external oil line...look some prices up for some after market pistons... aftermarket rods, get the rotating assembly balanced build it right the first time and do a lil search on here and you can find alot more on your ls/vtec builds and set ups that people have posted and are running
