Default looking to buy '94-'96 accord..help??

My little civic si was smashed and written off, and I was looking for something bigger anyways... so Accord it is (Honda for Life!) Anything in particular to look for? I know that the 'EX' model here in Canada is 145hp vs. 130hp for the 'LX', and it comes loaded, but is there anything I should look for when test driving? Other than low mileage and service records, were there any serious problems with brakes, transmission, engine, suspension? Any help would be great, Thanks. (looking to buy within the next few weeks.. a '94- '96)

I believe that the 94's need the valves checked every 15K instead of 30K for the others.
Oh, and look for parts (body pannels, braces, bumbers) that look recently painted, and especially for "numbers" written on them usually with paint. these are salvage yard markings.
car fax maybe?

good luck, you'll love the accord.

good time to be buying...after the holidays, ppl are usually looking to clear out extra cars ... pay off holiday bills ... etc.

best advice is: buy the best car you can afford. buy only a 1-owner car w/ RECORDS...buy from older ppl if possible. A 5spd tranny will last forever (if taken care of).

check the engine code printed on the block and know what is supposed to come with that engine...I remember a guy posting on here he purchased a 1997 Accord F22b1 (which has vtec) but at the time he purchased the car it had the F22b2 head on it (non vtec) and he didn't know about it till later...
