Ok, i'm going to do some headwork and also different pistons. But whats the best compression ratio for my B18c6 when i'm gonna install the toda B cams?
I want to make a quench style head like port flow does, and pollish the ports as well.
This is what I got now,
Injen CAI,
HKS 4-1 header
Testpipe
HKS Hipower catback

most cost effective way to go too
since you are in europe, what is the highest octane/RON gas available?

Personally, I agree with you... But I figured if I said 12.5 to 13:1 it would attract some stupid *** comment from someone who wants to disagree. So i made it 13.5:1 so if anyone did disagree they looked twice as stupid

I'm running Toda B's with 12.5:1 compression (212 whp/144 tq on B18C5 81.5mm bore piston, stock stroke).
It will pre-ignite/ping a lot until you get the motor tuned (ask me how I know)
But once it is tuned - you can use 94 easily and 91 if you're just tooling around town.

I would've gone higher compression but I plan on running nitrous w/ the toda's. My friend is running 150shot on his skunk2 stage 2's and he is running 11's untuned shooting fire down the track-lol.

better check those clearances with the B's and CTR 's. You will have to advance that intake cam, most likely, a few degrees. just be cautious.
some b16 pistons(jdm or usdm) in that block should also give you around 11.3 + a mugen headgasket and your in safe but good compression for the B's around 11.8/1 .
Its also a good way to stay right under 12./1 CR., 93 octane and timing friendly

yeah that's fine and dandy, but who says it's good to do so? higher compresion, higher octane. period.
i can run 87 all day long with my 12:6.1. won't last long, and i'd be an idiot for doing so, but i can do it

I would put 100 in my car all the time if I could get it.
Damn Yankee gas stations in the NW only sell 91.
I can get 94 octane in Canada

damn, there has to be something around that sells race fuels. when i had my turbo CRX i always used 116 octane from TRICK. i always got discounts from them since i've been buying fuel from them for like 20+ years now from back when i raced motocross. ask around local shops to see where they get thiers or know of any places.

Toda C territory? This is BAD logic.
compression depends on availability of high octane fuel and the ability of your tuner.
Has very little to do with cam selection.

the gas station right down the street from me sells 110.
i haven't found out if it's "at the pump" or special request???

Ok, thanks!
Here in holland we drive 95 or 98 octane fuel. I always run 98. How high can my comp ratio be with this kind of fuel?
