NY ITR Owners w/ JDM Swap, if any?
I have a friend w/ a JDM R swap legit, he's having problems w/ NY inspection; he has 907a papers. Because the engine doesn't have a Vin#..........has any one you know have encounter any such problems or something in that area?
Cops at inspection wouldn't give him a title for the car for.
Can't they just give him a Vin#?

Usually you have to show documentation for everything ie fenders, doors, hood etc when the car is a 907.

I don't see what the prob is then? If he has all the paper work for th emotor and tranny and the car is his then it should be fine...

Usually when you go for a state inspection they need documentation on every thing and if you cant provide it they cut that piece of the car off! I've seen it done to a Lincoln with illegit fenders. Cut them right off the car in the inspection station!

My jdm itr swap doesnt have a vin either but i kept the plate off my b16 incase of this. My inspection isnt due until feb so i guess i wont really know whats up till then but i dont see why it wouldnt pass without a vin as long as you had documention. You did say that you have documentation right?
