I can get free race tires, but they only come in 13", so my question is will a 13" rim fit on a GSR? I have 14's on for snow tires (from an LS) it looks tight, so I'm not sure if a 13 would work... does anyone happen to know?

Depends on wheels. Certain weld wheels and drag racing wheels fit.

If you are talking about steelies from a Civic, no it will not fit the front for sure.

 

so, does it have to do with the offset? Meaning a 13" Civic wheel doesn't have enough offset and will hit the side of the caliper whereas a different offset will clear it? Does the 13" wheel even clear the top of the caliper?

 

in my experiences, no. sorry the 13" steelies will not fit. can't even get it over the caliper. good luck to you!

 

Inside of the wheel will not even clear the offset.

Certain custom wheels fit and that's about it IME. I'm talking about wheels used for drag racing + slicks. Some of these wheels require spacers.

 

Race tires? You mean slicks? Lenso's will fit. I believe Bogart makes ones that will fit also. 13's will fit the rears.
