From experience the headlight thing happened with me, and it was my battery not

charged up all the way and it was loose from the battery terminal. But I could be

wrong with your problem, I guess just check both. Better hope it's just the battery

though. Try charging it up.

Looks like your friend is in need of a new battery. Try swapping batteries and see if it will resolve the problem

A 97 you say? Batteries are meant to be changed every 5 years.

sorry its a 97 year hatch, its got one of the optima yellow top gel batteries, i run a stock one and have no problems. are the optimas know for having problems?

Damn if he has one of those battery's I thought they weren't suppose to have any

problems. But just swap batteries, like already said and see if that's it.
