My new 92????
Ok the last day of the year, and I made a nice move in my opinion. I traded my 94 accord ex auto for a 92 accord LX 5 spd. and some cash. I have some suspension parts ready to go. My big question is the motor? This car is my daily drive to school/work so I need reliabitity, the current motor has 145,xxx on it, but runs decent. I have friends in the area with similar cars with the DOHC non-vtec, JDM F22 and I like the feel of the motor in the car. If purchased I was thinking of eventually running a DSM turbo set up on that motor w/ good tuning or should I just save a little more up front and go h22/h23? Is the h22/h23 a direct swap?
Which would be faster/more fun around town? Where is the cheapest place to buy either the JDM F22 or a H22/H23
Thanks Accord guys,
Dax

The h22 would be a good move just because you can always boost it later if you want, as far as the swap its pretty much a direct swap minus wiring for vtec, ecu pins, p/s and a couple other wiring and extensions....overall a fairly easy swap, so I have heard. Also if you keep the accord tranny it will bolt up, but your gears will be longer and you will be shifting out of vtec almost every gear....so i have read. Also I have 171K on my car, its a 90 4 dr lx and it runs just like the day I bought her, had to get springs not only for looks but too much body roll then came everything else....but soon muuhaaaa. And for engines check out http://www.total-boost.com they are a h-t sponsor
and good luck with the new cord (its not just for grocery gettin....)
