Default Alpine Type S or Fosgeate HE

Hey I have a Fosgate 301x amp and it is a 40watt rms x 4 amp or 150watt rms x 2 both at 4 ohms. I was gonna use the amp to run all 4 speakers and buy separate subs and amp but money is tight and I want ot get my system bumpin. So now I am planning on running my component speakers of the front side of the amp and run a sub off of the rear side. Am I correct in assuming I will get 150 rms to the sub and 40 rms to the speakers in front. Then I am just gonna run the back ones of the deck. Do you guys see any problem with this? Now for the sub question I was thinking of picking up either a Type S or Fosgate HE 12 inch Sub. Which do you guys prefer? I'm looking for clean sound but I also want it to be loud. Do you think I will be satisfied with 1 12". BTW I have an eg hatch.

whoa cowboy, your amp is either gonna run 4x40 or just 2x150. you can't run 2 sub channels and 2 front channels. run the front and rears off your deck and use the amp for your subs. as for the subs, i personally don't like fosgates so i say between the 2 get the alpines but if you were to get the alpine get the type r. better yet just get a JL sub, and 1 sub should suffice for the EG. hth

No I didn't mean run 2 sub channels and 2 front chanels. I meant 3 channels as in 2 in front and 1 sub in back. According to my manual I should be able to.

Its on page 9 of the manual if you care to look. Ya heard both the fosgate and Alpine type Rs and the Rs sound alot better. But I didn't get to hear a 12 inch type S by itself.
