Default My new project to tie me over is in the works!

Yes folks, since I blew all the money I had for the engine/tranny part of the swap on little piddly **** like springs, the mount/linkage kit, Momo steering wheel/hub, and miscellaneous other parts (and household bills), I decided to start out a little cheaper on the motor. If you don't know, I'm sporting the 70 hp 4-spd D15B1 in my STD hatch.

I won a 2000 DX head off of EBay for $85 that only had 1400 miles on it, then I got the intake manifold/throttle body/fuel rail/injectors/ECU and throttle cable coming from an EF Si for $125.

I already have the injector resistor I bought for the B swap, as well as a warm air AEM that I also got for the swap to go on.

I have a cheapy short shift kit, new shift ****, cheapy front/rear strut tower braces, and a rear lower subframe brace. I've got older Eibach springs, but need to get the cash for the adjustable shocks, I've got a '90 Si gauge cluster coming, and some ricey indiglo gauges to put in and the steering wheel and hub to put in.

I'm pretty psyched! I need to get some gaskets, and head bolts, and some miscellanous piddly **** to get the head on, but basically I'll take a weekend and toss on the head and wire it up.

But this should jump me up from 70 hp to about 100-105, so would be almost a 50% increas in power for about $350, that's a hell of a deal!!

hmm... good luck on trying to make that go faster... but as for the ricey indiglo gauges... you could've spent your money on something else... hehe

good luck!!

$35 ain't bad, and since I'm getting the Si gauge cluster, it will already be out ..... it all just fell into place!

I don't plan on making this set-up faster, just tie me over until I can convince the wife to let me get the swap!

I already have the B series HCP mount kit and linkage, and the intermediate shaft I'll need and the PR3 ECU, and, and, and ........

I just can't get away with dropping $1500 for the motor/tranny/axles right now (especially since she is still between jobs). Unfortunately with a family and a house, other things come first!
