Default Cable to Hydro FULL Conversion questions

We have a 1991 CRX hf and want to put a hydro tranny in the car. We have an entire parts civic AND integra that had the hydro trannys. What all does it take to convert? Is there a write up on this? Where did you place the reservoir on the firewall? Anyone have pics? Thanks a lot guys!!!

I know some people have problems with mounting the clutch master cylinder on the firewall, because it flexes too much. Thats why most just splurge and get the Hasport kit.

i've seen a full hydro conversion in several cars and it takes a fair amount of fabricating. darren wilson, a friend of mine who does a fair amount of engine swaps in sarasota florida has an h22a in his crx...and he does his own fabricating. he used a custom plate on the inside of the firewall which controlled the lever/input shaft (for lack of a better term) that pushes the fluid through the clutch lines. he mounted the master cylinder on the engine side firewall and again fabricated his own pieces to make it work properly.

lhtperformance.net also does these conversions and it costs around 1000 for them to do it...i think. their conversion is similar to darren's (he did it before they did) although its cleaner and is more professional...simply because they have done quite a few cable to hydro conversions. you could try calling john at lht although he probably won't tell you what to do over the phone because he makes money doing the work for other people.

its not too difficult once you look at the pieces...and i feel like i could do the conversion as well with some help from a friend who can fabricate custom pieces/mounts etc. it really depends on your level of experience and patience...

im in the process of "initial prep" to begin doing this my self i already checked everything out and its going to be ALOT of fabrication and ALOT of time fabricating the stock EF peddle assy. and installing just the clutch peddle off a hydro car and aligning that to the clutch booster and i already looked its going to be hard to make it align through the firewall and still have a nice stock peddle feel il take pics of my prep alreayd and all the markings when my girl starts taling to me again she's the one with DIGi, i know i am going to go through with it because the LSD stamp on the ITR tranny is just so damn sexy...
