Tranny question??
90-91 had larger flywheels and clutches. if you are getting a 90-91 trans, then you will need to change teh clutch and flywheel. i have a stock 90-91 flywheel if u need one. shipping on that bad boy would suck tho.

ps-if u dont know what year the trans is from, do a search. we have discussed that before.

the 88 has a different spline count from the 89+ so you'll need to get a new clutch is all. you can keep the flywheel cuz the splines don't go in that far. If you really wanna save money just get a friction plate, thats all you really need if you want it to fit back together
but maybe im wrong?

anymore comments, thanks so far guys. I think I understand but if anyone wants to reply cool.
so if it is a 88 tranny: just needs new clutch (for an '88)
if it is a 89-91 tranny: I will need new clutch and flywheel (from a 89 or 90-91)

Here is some info on clutch sizes and spline counts of 88-91 trannies.
