About how far away from the strip were those pics taken? My parents have a condo in Vegas about 15-20 miles away from the strip and it's just empty land all around the condo like in your pics.

Those pics look like red rock, but outside my apartment was covered with snow from what I hear from my mom. I am about 15-20 miles from the strip as well. It's nice though, all the mountains have a nice layer of snow on them, it's really pretty.
