best for b20/vtec - type r pistons and rods, or b20b pistons and rods??

Default best for b20/vtec - type r pistons and rods, or b20b pistons and rods??

ok, so i'm not even sure if one or the other will work. i found a great deal on jdm itr pistons and rods and wrist pins for a mere $250... right now, i have regular b20b stuff, so i was wondering if i changed, would it be for the better?? please shed some light.

yah, lol and no matter what type of breakin method you use, your just not going to get good ring seal.

ok, that's what i didn't know. i knew the b20 was 84mm, but didn't know that the itr pistons were 81mm. thanks. i guess this topic shall die now.

Just use rings that are 3mm wider...

you can also put some cement around the cylinder walls to help you fit those type R pistons in there,just make sure the cement is dry before starting the engine and you should be fine
