Why do I smell gas whenever my car is warming up?
When I start my car, weather it is in the morning or just whenever, I smell gas. I notice it after I installed my header. I never changed the doughnut or the header gasket . If I changed these would the smell go away?
I guess you are running rich...
Do you have an exhaust leak? That might be why you smell more than usual... But my car runs very rich at idle and I still don't smell raw fuel, more like contaminants...

When your car is warming up the RPM's are higher. Therefore more flow thoughout the whole engine. I believe there must be an exhaust leak from old/worn header gasket. Once car is at idle the flow of gases and sh*t are non-noticeable because the smell isn't resent like when the RPM's are higher. When driving the fumes of course you couldn't smell. This is just my logic, don't know if I am right, there could be a leak elsewhere, but this is what you should check first... Good luck!
