Default RSX-S vs. Mitsubishi eclipse GT

Anyone want to tell me which is all around a better sports coupe? Based on personal experience with both cars hopefully. Thanks.

the new eclipse is a focking pole-smokers car...sorry...i mean, i prefer the rsx BY FAR! i watch this pathetic old dude in a GT spyder crawl around our autox every couple of weeks...it's sad how slow and heavy the car is. do yourself a favor and get the type S.

The Eclipse is a car for secrataries.

It's depressing to see what's become of that car, really. I was never a huge fan of the old DSM, but I respected it. The new one is unbelievably soft. And heavy. And that engine, gahhh! It's pathetic to see a "200 hp V6" struggle to keep up with a Civic EX with an intake.

I dont care if I offend the stupid Eclipse GT owners.

The new Gen Eclipse sucks a$$. The GT is not fast at all. I test drove a GT, 5 spd twice. The handeling is sloppy as hell. It has so much body roll I almost goes on 2 wheels when u corner hard. The 3.0L V6 is SOHC LOL!! Come on! It has alot of torque but no high end. Coming from a '00 GSR I had a hard time keeping it off the rev limiter hah. The gearing is almost too high. Its not a car that worries me when I pull next to one at a redlight. Its a joke. I would have bought the old Turbos if they hadnt replaced them with this grocery getter..

I actually spent last weekend with two of my friends who just boght Type-S's. I drove the RSX-S a substantial amount. The car is amazingly fun to drive, even compared to my GSR. Stock for stock it is a much much better car. Very tight suspension and superb gearbox feel. I like almost everything about the RSX-S. Better build quality too. It looks better And its still faster.
