SWAP QUESTIONS *b16a1 crx hf*
I have an 88 crx hf. I got the complete b16a1 changeover from Hondamotorsonline. The motor is in the car and pretty much ready to go. I've ran into a few problems. so here is my questions.
(1) my stock hf radiator is in pretty bad shape. So I bought a 00'si radiator for 45.00 from my friend who owns a shop here. Should I use the farely beat up stock radiator, or go with 00si radiator. If I do use the SI radiator. WHERE DO I MOUNT IT???? Has anyone else used one?
(2) Will my stock hf hood clear a b16??? If not what hood do I need, and where do I get it?
(3) Seeing how I have an HF the axles have to be swapped out. They sent me the proper axles, and front suspension from another honda. I'm pretty sure all I need is the hubs from this suspension to make the axles fit but the brakes that came attached to this suspension are much bigger than my stock discs. I'd like to use as much of this stuff as I can. However when tried putting it on the new upper control arm wouldn't fit. The studs would line up with the holes in the shock tower area, but the control arm wouldn't clear. Any help is greatly appreciated.
(4) I know the 88' crx's have different lower rear control arms from the 89-91's. Which made it hard to find the shocks I wanted. my friend gave me some lower rear control arms from an EG hatch. Will they work? Or do they have to be from a 89-91 crx, or civic?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Is the 00 half core or full, meaning, does it only go half way across the front or full? I used a 90-93 integra full core. It mounted in the same spots as the HF one. If the 00 is half, you can use the left mount(looking at the car) for the bottom mount and fab a mount for the top.

Just bolt it all on, they prob. sent you a 90-93 integra disk swap, it all changes over and you don't use any of the HF stuff. If there is anything that you are missing, go to a local junk yard and find a 90-93 integra.

Not sure on this one, I swapped over all parts from a ( again) 90-93 integra to have rear disks. All the parts bolt up but you need to change out the E-brake cable for the integra ones if you do this. I do know that the Hype R rear lower control arms will fit. Not sure if the eg does. Just hold it up to what you have on the car and see if it will fit.
If you have anymore questions you can IM me. Good luck.
