EK brake problem?!

EK brake problem?!
Ok, the other day the brake light was on so I checked the MC and I was low on brake fluid. I added some more fluid expecting to feel a stiffer pedal and to my surprise it was the same feel, I need to press the pedal all the way in before the car starts to stop. I see no brake fluid leaking anywhere, could something else be wrong?
