have question about comptech sway and tie on ek hatch... just installed
i just installed the comptech 22mm sway and tie combo and now i have a squeak coming from the rear of the car ... i did some research and found nothing that can answer my question... **why**... i put the teflon tape on it ... i double check all connections and bolts ... i sounds like a bushing or spring and i seems to do it more on the passenger side.... the squeak occurs when i hit bumps and the suspension has to travel... . has anyone else had this problem... and how can i stop the squeak....
P.S. dont say take it off and get a new sway bar.. i like it so much i will use it till my car falls apart...i would like to fix it but if i cant i will deal with it...
please help

i thought it might be the chassis .. but dont want to purchase a pillar bar or anything until i know for sure....
i removed my back seats but that wouldnt make a diff. on chassis stiffness...at least not in a honda,,,,

This is a fairly common. Mine has squeaked since the day I put it on. It has to do with the urethane bushings and the race nature of the endlinks. The endlinks are spherical so they are a lot harder on bushings then the stock rubber. All I can suggest is to take the swaybar brackets off and taking the urethane bushings and put lots and lots of axle grease on them. For me after i do this, the squeaking usually goes away for about 3 days. Urethane always squeaks, sometimes you can get lucky and get it to stop but most can't, sucks I know, but you gotta trade off a little comfort for performance.
the tiebar portion of the comptech setup has a reinforcement for the subframe which is where you mount the sway bar bushings. similar to beaks, only better, cause its actually PART of the tie bar. less focused stress on the subframe mounts.
try some molly lube and grease the hell out of all the bushings. it should work for a while, but im sure it will come back over time(maybe a few days or maybe a few weeks)
you have to compromise for racing parts.
