Strange Noise: Sounds like wheel bearing - suggestions?
Sounds weird. Usually wheel bearing make a vibtating noise when they go bad or that's what I hear anyway.
Is it possible that you pads are worn down to the indicators?

when my wheel bearing went bad you could move the whole hub assby back and forth and the axle stayed stright. I also felt a bad vibration while driving but no noise.
could be your axles.. my friend's 92 teg makes a clicking type noise when turning, and just driving straight, and it's his axles... his wheel bearing is also going out on the rear driver's side and that makes like echoing noise/vibrating...
so i would guess it's ur axles...

I am possitive that it comes from the drivers side front wheel... With the engine off, the noise occurs when moving that wheel only... It sounds like breaks, but when I step on the breaks there is no change in sound... That is why I think it's something else...
