I need someone in Fayettnam NC to put on a head gasket
Ok, so here's the deal, My car is smoking, slightly, but enough that standing behind it you can see it. The exhaust smells sweet, and persist even when warm. I am assuming that I need a new head gasket. Am I correct? If so I need someone to do this for me. I will get the gasket, just need someone to do it correctly. Anyone interested? Let me know some prices.

Well.... maybe....probably....... the sweet smell is probably burning coolant/antifreeze. But, I would find someone to properly diagnose/confirm first.
Is it low on coolant?(sorry, might be a dumb ?, but ya' never know)
Before finding someone to replace the HG, find someone who could do a leak-down test to pin-point the problem.
Otherwise, it could be something else and your HG $ could be for not. And, hopefully not, but it may be something more serious (like a crack in head or block) or, maybe it might need more than a gasket - head may be warped, etc
If it is the head gasket, make sure that the head and deck are checked to make sure they are flat. Ya' just can't cut any corners here.
The shops that I know think the same way but I guess that all don't.
Good luck.

Thanks TRH. I will definately have a leakdown test done ASAP. I am hoping it is just a frigging gasket, because i really cannot afford to buy a new head. Luckily this car is not my daily driver, so I can afford (not financially) a few days down time.
Oh, I know the feeling!
But, if you can't afford to do it right the first time, you definitely can't afford to do it over.
I live by this 99.9% of the time but see my recent post of "Where, oh where, is my oil going". I tried to skimp and re-used an o-ring on my head gasket job and it came back to haunt me - and I can't afford to do it over, but, it's the daughter's car so............. there goes the beer $......oh, wait a minute, I don't have any of that either

also keep in mind, you gonna have to do a valve adj if you replace the HG.might aswell replace water pump, timming belt, and a nice cleaning of the head wouldnt hurt(maybe a valve job)
dont half step on this if you go this route

yeah man make sure you have it checked out first before you go pulling the head. From what you told me earlier it sounded like a gasket but it could be something else too.
You will not need to buy a new head. If your head is warped you can have them resurfaced at a machine shop for like 30 bucks or so.
If you are looking for someone to do it do a searsh for members in your area and start sending some IMs out. If I lived closer id help ya out for sure but im a good 15 hours away. Good luck in figuring out your problem and finding to help you do it at a good rate.
