Do these compression numbers seem oddly low?
I just recently did 210 across on a stock compression b18c1.
However, don't compression testers read differently. Most important thing is that the numbers are consistent across all 4 cylinders.

i didnt do the test. they are numbers of a motor im looking at buying. even though they are even(a good thing), they seem quite low for that kind of compression.
You can't really compare numbers as every gauge will read slightly differnet from the next. The main thing to check is the consistency of the numbers and to make sure they do not vary more then 20psi across the board. Various things, as mentioned above, can effect the compression reading on the engine also such as cams and carbon build up. Verify if the cams are stock or not and take this into consideration. Also, was the test done with the engine cold or up to operating temperature? It should be done with the engine at normal operating temperature. Did they do the test with the throttle plate fully open? It must be open or the results are not accurate.
