I just got a used B16A2 Throttlebody for my EF8 (will be bored and installed to a typhoon manifold).

But I think it didn't come of a B16A2 engine. Please take a look on the pics and tell me from which engine this TB comes from.

can you tell us if there are any visible numbers or letters? what's the diameter of the tb?

 

not sure...but as far as i can tell..

Theres a little green sticker on it says 03BO ....
And on the throttlebody itself is written GR 03B

if its being bored out, why does it matter? Almost all honda TB's are the same except for the bore

 

Thats the ******* point.... I got someone who bores out tbs regulary.
He's able to bore the b16a2 tb out to 64,5mm.

But it seems like the outer diameter of this tb I got is only 64mm.

So if I let him bore this one out its around 61mm that sucks...

oh gotcha, I didn't realise you were going to bore it out that large... I've got my GSR TB at 62mm.

 

In combination with the typhoon intake manifold and a k&n inlay I should earn serious tourqe in the low and midrange...But I expect no more peak power.

Still need to know from what engine this tb comes from.
