Who has/has had a spool or welded diff on a daily driven car?
Im considering running a spool in my daily driver which needs a new diff.. Ive had the spool for a couple of years now and was going to use it in my drag project car but due to time restraints I dont see that coming together for quite a while.
I just wanted to get some feedback on daily driving with a spool or welded diff.
Thanks

i wouldnt have it on a daily driven car but maybe a weekly driven car to the street races or soemthing, makes the driving really uncomfortable and yes turning sucks
some of my friends used to rock welded diffs in there daily drivers. it gives you sort of a hop when you corner. some time's the outer tires skids and some times the inner skids so it's kind of wiggly arround corners. and the wheel dosn't want to go any where but strait, so it takes a little more arm power to turn. not all that bad in a streetracing car or a weekend only car. i love my lsd but if i had to i would rock a spool.

I was checking out the Nitro driveline spool for my All Motor Pro -Am car, the guys were very helpful. A different car but, I have my center diff welded in my awd dsm. It hops in parking lots, but is worth it at the track.
my monte carlo (hs autoshop drag car) has a welded diff. yes it does suck a lot to drive around. though it's kinda fun to leave marks everywhere you turn in a parking lot. lol. i would gaurantee you would consider it undriveable it you had one in a front wheel drive import.
