I've got the Greddy kit on my EK and my exhaust bolted right up to it. This was a 92-95 kit on a 97 hatch. I think you did something seriously wrong if your exhaust moved over 4 inches...

My greddy kit kept everything lined up.

What proof did he have that he lost power? They do help you gain a little power, but nothing extreme. If your exhaust lining up is a permanent problem I would take it to a muffler shop and then have a test pipe put on and not worry about a hi flo cat.

That could be alot of things. That kind of stuff is difficult to gauge from 1/4 miles runs. There are a ton of variables tire condition, 60's, track temperature, the list goes on and on. Just be cause his quarter was a little higher doesn't mean the cat is not making more power. It could be making more and his run just was shittier than the previous runs.
