yeah i guess chaging the tape every once in a while wouldn't be a bad idea... but i don't think it's really necessary. you could replace the bushings after 1000000 miles too

My teflon tape fell apart, so I've just been greasing it up every so often. Urethane bushings will squeak if all the grease dries up; so this may be the only maintenance.
I've also heard of the endlinks wearing out. Mine feel fine after 20,000 mi.
