Default Car dies....and i dont know why.

So far...its been a week and my car has died on me 6 times. The strange thing is....my car ONLY DIES @ night. (I think its because of the electrical usage of my lights @ night) Long story short...i drive....then it loses power...like electrical power...and just dies showing the battery and oil sign. I try to start it up...it cranks but no start? So i just let it sit there for a good 5 mins and then it'll start back up again. Car idles like crap...i know it isnt my battery...because all of my lights work fine....and i know it isnt the alternator because i disconnected the + while my car was on and it didnt die. So the only thing that can be wrong is my spark plugs...my distrubutor is new....so it still works fine. I havent changed my spark plugs in about 3 months now. Do you guys think the problem is my spark plugs?

since it seems having the headlights on affects it,troubleshoot the ELD.you can find the procedure in a shop manual.if you don't have one,try here:

i'd say main relay. next time it happens listen to hear if your fuel pump kicks in, if not, main relay

A long shot, but run some injector clearer through that thing. This would be a much more solid guess if it happened during the day too, but it can't hurt.

Whenever i drive my car....after a while...it just loses power out of no where and just dies with the battery and oil sign turned on. And then i would have to wait about 10 mins or so...to let it cool off...and then it'll start again.

Does the main relay have something to do with my fuel?
