removing head for min-me swap
I'm in the process of doing a mini-me swap and I can't seem to get the old head off. All the head bolts are off, but I can't break the head loose from the block. I don't want to damage the block by forcing something in between the head and the it. Any suggestions?
if u took off that intake manifold then just pry it carefully w/ a wide flathead scredriver or something like it. it's gonna be stuck, trust me cuz the engine is old
just do it carefully and slowly.

just take a bar and break it from where the top radiator hose goes to. I'm pretty sure there's no intake manifold brakets on D-series motors...
I know what you mean, Im actually in the same spot you are in. Im still trying to get the damn head off. Pretty much everything is unbolted, im still trying to get the bolt on the underside of the intake manifold off. The Z6 head is just sitting, waiting to be bolted on. What instructions, if any, are you using to do this?
there are 2 bolts underneath the intake manifold, that bolt it down to the L shape braket that is also bolted to the block on the back side, make sure u unbolt those 2 bolts from underneath the car, u will need a 15" inch extention for your ratchet or whatever it is u use to get to them
good luck hope that helps

SiRJKwIcK89Ef,
I don't really have instructions. I'm just following a link that someone posted under the ZC vs. Mini-me: final round post. Good Luck. Make sure the parts the you replace like the timing belt and headgasket are Honda OEM parts. Don't go down to your local autp parts store and buy them. Only use Honda quality. If you go to http://www.manhonda.com, I got Honda OEM parts for the price of cheaper auto parts stores. I got the headgasket for $38 and the timing belt for $26. Pretty cheap.
