I'd like to paint the leters on some race tires I have and I was wondering if someone here knows of a paint I can use to do so.
Thanks
Thanks
I know that Pep-Boys used to have some type of kit to "paint" the lettering on your tires. As far as going ahead and doing this is totally up to you. Maybe your getting a tire sponsor or something? Otherwise kinda

Thanks for the opinions, but I am not really looking for any.
I'll find out some other way.
I also remember the pepboys stuff, but that's not what I am looking for, thanks.

wow- what an enlightening and useful post.
I think it looks sharp- there was a black on black crx on this board with the white lettering- looked good- I was looking into this a while back myself-

I think spraypaint would be a bad idea as it will chip almost immediately- my 2 ideas were a white rubberized sealer (sold a HD or other hardware), or rubber adhesive, if you can find it in white. I bought the sealer but never actually used it.
please post your results-

I used just your average rubber can paint to highlight my toyo's for a big local event, ended up saving 10% on tires because my sponcer saw the lettering on a still shot on tv haha
Yeah so hit HD or Canadian Tire or Pep boys or something..

Well I found what I was looking for,
The best stuff for it is screenprinter's ink. That stuff is water soluble, very flexible and if you scuff the tire surface a bit it penetrates and sticks super well.
I found that stuff at a local arts and crafts store called Pearl. I think Michaels sells the same stuff. The nice thing about it is that it can be rolled or applyed with a piece of foam.
I can't tell how long it will last yet, but it seems better than plain paint.
BTW, I am not making fake advans, I'd like to do something similar in appearnace but on my Falken Azenis.
