i have a 95 accord 4 door v6 automatic, and i was wondering what kinds of engines will fit for a engine swap. i know that the the v6 accords have a larger engine bay so what will fit. TIA
thanks alot!

my friend was squeezing and his motor blew. he had a automatic v6. what he did was got a jdm v6. i wouldnt know if that helped him any or if he got hooked up on the motor or anything. I dont own an accord so i dont kno anything but i was wondering if accords came with manuel in japan? why dont some try to get their hands on a manuel v6 o.0??

Because the stock 4banger w/vtec manual is quicker in the 1/4 mile mainly due to weight. The v6 doesn't put out that much more and its way heavier.....and I don't know about swaps for your frame style, I have heard you can do h22 swaps but it takes a little more customizing due to it had a bigger engine bay.

How sure are you about this, do you have any personal experience. MY friend has a stock 2 door 98 accord 4 banger.. the f22 or f23 manuel, we raced a v6 in the same car. the had one more person then we did, we took it off the launch because but he caught up and won by a car length.. im pretty sure the v6 would be faster then the "stock 4banger w/vtec manual" (f22 or f23?) in quarter mile. We both don't have any hard evidence or stats so if you can provide any to back up either statement, that would be great.

Well the 95 thats a 5th gen....the v6's were in refinement and only put out I believe 2.6L of displacement so they weren't as potent as the 6th gen 200hp 3.0L, but the 5th gen ex v6 4door weighed 3285lbs had 170hp and 165 tq, a 4dr ex 4 banger weighs 3009lbs had 145hp and 147tq. Thats only 25 more hp and 18tq to deal with almost 280 lbs, off the line they might get ya but that 4 banger will catch up, there was a thread posted about 1/4 mile times and it also said the 4banger caught up to the v6 and beat it in the long run. Mainly due to vtec and weight, but if you take same cars auto vs manny the manny will win (if you have a good driver) due to launch and manny's are lighter than autos. I would say if available go with a 6th gen v6 swap (no clue on how hard that is) or a h22 swap, I will do some searching on the v6 bodies with a h22. Hope this helps
Edit: found some info on the 6th gen v6....
A 98 ex 2dr v6 weighs 3241lbs has 200hp and 195tq, as you can see this is quite a jump from the 5th gen v6's 200 vs 170hp 195 vs 165tq and weight 3241lbs vs 3285lbs. It was lighter had more hp and more tq, I would hope it would kills it.....tq is the biggest thing needed to move the accord thats why h22 swaps are the most recognized/done swaps.

Duuuude. The original question was about a 5th gen. That's what the i4 manual > v6 auto applies to. In the case of a 6th gen you would see that stock for stock v6 auto > i4 manual. Which is what you saw when you raced your friend. learn how to read kthnxbye

actually i have a 97 accord coupe 5 speed ex, and i race a guy all the time who has a 96 sedan v6. Ive never lost and its always around a car length so the coupe ex manuals are the quickest stock from the 94-97 accords.
