Default OT: 3rd Gen RX7 or Skyline GTS-T R32 ?

Well just wanted to see what you guys think , i could buy a 92' Skyline R32 GTS-T(Single Turbo , RWD)
from Blitz or buy another RX7, the skyline is in good conditon i drove it today and it felt strong at 7 psi , its bone stock. If i buy it they will throw in a NISMO wide body kit , and a NISMO motor upgrade ( according to them its good for about 1000+hp).. but then again, RX7s are awsome , handle awsome , are super fast and blitz has a 3-Rotor(20B) Motor sitting at their shop that i could throw in..... what do you think is better ?????

For drag racing, the Skyline is best. For track driving (road racing, track days, etc.) the RX7 will be better.

for the price of the skyline, you could get a super duper hooked up RX7, handle well, and look a lot better. I mean why get a skyline thats not AWD? i'd personally take the Rex any day.

wrong.. The RB20DET powered R32 is a DAWG until you spend lots of money. The FD can spank a modded GTS-T with simple tuning parts like exhaust, boost up, air cleaner, and ecu tuned for the setup. Tuned R32 GTS-T's can be bought all dau long for $7-$9k over here so don't get your hard earned loot to those rip off artist at Motorex. A JZA80 Supra would be a better choice if yoo don't want a Rotor-motor. Hell R32 GTR's can be bought for $8k!!

An FD3S RX-7 with a street port, GOOD ECU, 80mm exhaust, 60-1 with racing wastegate, 850cc primary and 1600cc secondary injectors, and a good clutch will put 400~440hp with globs of torque to the ground all day long. The RB20 would have to be bored and stroked to 2.4liters with 850cc injectors, a serious head port job, aftermarket rods and pistons, upgraded tranny gear set, the MAF would need to be changed to MAP via HKS F-CON V or Power FC, and ATLEAST a T300S/T04S or Mitsu T67-25g would be needed just to keep up with the FD.

FD parts are available in the states but Skyline parts are hard to find and over priced when you do find them.

Your right about Motorex price gouging on there 100-200% markups on Skylines. Kinda like new ITRs that fellow was going to sell for over 50 grand when I know for a fact you could bring one in and make good profit and sell from 32-38 grand depending on what options you get on the car. A New 34GTR Vspec II fully loaded can be had for around 90 grand. But old 32 can whoop butt becuase with just minor mods the gains are just plain crazy. If you do get Skyline I can get all parts for you and sometimes even used parts from Japan or Europe.

i understand about the price of the GTS-T , i am not buying it from MOTOREX , i am buying it for less than my 97 Type-R is worth . Believe me i wouldnt pay 35k for a car that i know they can get for like 5K. The reason i am interested is because i've had RX7s before i am a rotary freak , but this is a good chance to get the skyline considering that i will get the NISMO wide body kit ( makes it look just like GTR of the same year but w/ a really nice front end and wing) and also my friends at blitz have a low mileage GTR motor sitting there , and thats a direct swap, they can also have the replacement parts for this car here in 3 days, so it would look good and have a nice motor...?

for the FD. rotaries rule!

just a lighter platform for autox, road racing, dragging, etc...

Widebody kit? Well, that car would be unique, but wouldn't perform up to the rx7... Too heavy, imho.

Im sorry, but if youve got the money to buy it, modify it and maintain it...
Skyline all the way. No doubt. As long as its been converted to street-legal specs and youve got a lot of cash for whatever happens in the future, for sure Skyline.

RX-7s are amazing though...I have a great background up of two 99's right now.

I can't believe there is any debate over this. SKYLINE!!!

As long as you aren't getting ripped off, and its reliable, why would you want a run-of-the-mill RX7 when you can have a Nissan Skyline aka Dorukin???

Well.. atleast get a GTS-T Type M or a GTS-4. The type M has larger brakes and the GTS-4 is AWD like the GTR but uses a RB20DET instead of a RB26DETT.
