Default BBB complaint - Hybrid Garage

ok, tommorrow if i don't hear from them i'm going to be retracting the paypal payment that i made for lca's and brake lines. i will also be filing a complaint with the phoenix BBB. my question is, has anyone filed w/ the BBB before... was it successful? also, when i do this and if they want more proof then just my experience, if anyone else has had a problem with them in the past would you be interested in sharing your experience?

The way the BBB work is you submit a complaint against the company (in your case, Hybrid Garage) and a resolution to resolve the case (usually a chunk of change credited back to the buyer), and the company in question has a month to respond. Unless you have solid proof, it will be kind of hard. Your PayPal transaction should be proof enough. Basically, the BBB act as a middleman between the consumer and the company in question. If the company fails to resolve the issue or show proof of its innocense, a complaint will be marked on the company's history. I work for a company that has recently been hit with a complaint from a customer whose complaining about a product he ordered TWO MONTHS ago. Needless to say, I provided sufficient proof (cuz we log all transaction, i.e. tracking #s, FedEx tracking, etc.) and won the case.

How long ago did you order from HG?

All the BBB does is put the vendor on a list stating they have unsatisfied customers. They will do nothing to get your money back.

A friend of mine ordered piston rings from there. It took like over a month, lots of emails and phone calls, but he finally got em.
Hybrid has terrible service!

well i really don't need them to get my money back, i'm sure paypal will resolve that part of the issue. i guess i'm just urging those who have had a bad experience to file a complaint against the company so they can be dealt with accordingly and nobody else will have this issue.

Also you can ONLY file a complaint if they are registered with the BBB.

Where in Phx is Hybrid Garage? I live in Phx and Ive been into Honda for like 7 years and Ive only heard people have problems with them out of state, are they mail order or something?

I dont know anyone here locally that goes to them.

when i go to the BBB site, and type in hybrid garage, it shows their listing. any incorporated or registered company is on BBB's list. and you can't provide commerce unless you're a registered company.

go on their discussion board and sign up for an account.make a post about the situation.maybe one of the mods on there can help you get in touch with them or at least maybe it'll get their attention.seen peopel do it before,don't know if it helped any though......i don't think it's necesarily them trying to rip you off-the founder of that site Adrian is a good guy-but there's still no excuse for the terrible service.

they are really slow! i order 2 high flow cat from them and it took a 1.5 month. I called and emailed, no response. when i did get them, they forgot the 02 sensor bung, but they fedex it next day. they are not scammer, just slow and bad service.

my car had a damaged lower control arm and i orded those function 7 ones for my car. but they were back order for like 3 week i messaged them on AOL they offed to mail me the stock one so i can drive my car till they came in. i thought they were scamming me at first because they never came for 2 weeks and never answered my emails. they just got slow customer service.
if you order with credit card they said they dont charge the credit card company till they ship them or something they dont take the money right away.

well i sent a PM to hybridadmin on their forum, he read it this morning, but no call yet. i'm getting a bit frustrated here, need to get my car running NOW, since i got laid off i no longer have a company truck. every time i try to call them, its a recording, and the mailbox is full... i can't believe this guy, these ppl, attempt to run a legitimate business like this.

If they have not accepted payment on your LCAs, I know a company that makes great LCAs and great CS, http://www.meganracing.com $150 for quality billet LCAs.

OK, I sent the complaint to paypal... this FINALLY got a reply from hybrid garage, and they instantly refunded money. Which is good, but why didn't they just answer my emails and tell me that they were out of stock. What's funny is, they said to paypal, "High demand item, Manufacturer unable to provide requested stock". THEY'RE the f'n manufacturer. Anyways, I still filed a complaint with the BBB, and got my money back, now I'm looking for other alternatives, then OEM.

just to add on this topic:

i am currently having major problems with Hybrid garage. I ordered HASport EF CRX Mounts and axles from them nearly 2 months ago. when I heard nothing about it a month later, i emailed them to check what's going on: said he was waiting on one axle from HASport, then they would be shipped. now, another month later, ive still got nothing. ive sent him countless emails, with no response. Ive filed a complaint with VISA about the company, and they will be struck off Visa's company list (as well as several other MAJOR credit companies) if he does not supply the goods.

The main problem i have is that im on the other side of the pacific, little old New Zealand, so my in-ability to converse with him in a more direct manner is not good for progress

Ive purchased things from the US many times and i have never had the disgusting service ive received from Hybrid Garage. I will never do business with them again and would seriously reconsider ever ordering from the US again..

btw, the cost of these items alone was nearly US$800, which luckily i will be getting back. worst part is i still need the damn mounts.

my BBB complaint is underway awaiting a response from hybrid garage... http://www.bbb.org, people like this should either shape up or close shop. file a complaint, it takes 10 minutes... they do everything else.

in my complaint i mentioned that i post on honda-tech and found an amazing amount of responses from ppl having the same issue.

Yeah!, I ordered The Hasport EK mounts from them a few weeks before christmas and they were here in about a week and a half, but I've been waiting for my cat for a month now. I wouldn't mind soo much, if they at least answered their phones or emails, this is Rediculous!!!!

The way things are looking, I don't thing Hybrid Garage will be in business much longer...or at least they wont be getting any business.

not sure if you understand the purpose of the bbb. they only serve as sort of like a mediator. they can't get you your money or product. they have public records for all registered businesses in that state, if that company has a file. not all companies will have a file. also, if hybrid resolves your issue, ie a refund, their file stays clear.

also, have any of you tried to im(aol) them? i used to correspond with them that way.
